First upgrade... Flatline Barrel. If ya dont have all that cash get a j-j ceramic or Bigshot 12" or 14" Then save for the low pressure kit so you can run air (nitro) That should of been my second upgrade. Regulators are nice too. Palmer Stabilizer is nice. Welcome to the tippmann forums. Im still a newb too

OK the flat line is ez to install just follow the instructions that come with it Get a Regulator, It replaces the frontgrip and it gives u better air efficency Definetly get Nitros if money is no issue. With the nitros get a low pressure system with out this system the nitros won't help too much

you dont need the lp kit to run nitro on your 98c it will work just fine with just a HPA tank. you can get all this stuff at any paintball website: paintballgateway.com firstcallpaintball.com actionvillage.com ext. or at a paintball store, online is your best bet for a cheep price though |

Dont forget a new helmet. Im using a Vforce Morph and I love it. Also get a pod carrier that will hold a tank, get yourself a remote line then. Getting shot in the tank sucks, and with a remote you lighten your gun allot! Try you local paintball shop first, going to an online store wont save you too much after you pay for shipping. But if no are stores near you then online is your best bet. I have some links at my site, come on over and visit the weblinks section. Just click on the link under my sig pic. **edit. realized I didnt have the most common places people to go when buying on line, Sorry about that I added 888paintball.com and countrypaintball.com I will get some more up soon. Sorry about that. Edited by Justice |

you can find some of these upgrades on this website, just go to accessories and you can find most of those upgrades if not all of them, or you could go on www.paintball.com and clck on shop online and you will find a list of differnet sites that are pretty good you can check. i have no other advice since i still consider myself a newbie( i havent had my gun for a year yet) |

yes the gun you bought was good, the 98c is a very good gun for a beginer and you can upgrade it to be a great gun. as for your other question, yes all of the balls for paintball are .68 caliber balls so they will all fit in your gun barrel. but i'm not sure about the flatline, i've heard some things that a 98c flatline is hard to install |

A remote is a black coiled tube that is connected to the air adapter at the bottom of the pistol grip of the marker and the other end of the coiled remote, it is screwed to the co2 tank and also theres an on/off valve.....look at the pic below
Jus PM me if you need more info on the remote line. As fer the Stabalizers, you hafta ask them die hard speedballers that question. Edited by evil_fingers |

Nope, it's not like deer hunting, unless you run out as fast as you can towards a deer (which I would be amazed if you even got a shot), it can be like deer hunting, if you sit in one place for the enemy to pass, the enemy being the deer, but mostly you would be playing up close to people, running around alot rather than sitting, unless you like to sit. |

Screw the flatline, if you're going to invest in all those preformance upgrades, get a better barrel. That flatlines has range, that's all. Less accuracy, and even at far range it's a lot less likely to break on someone. And you can get paint to fit it or it won't shoot right, so it's not the best for consistency, and won't run as low of pressure. Also, I'd get a high output tank, no need for a low one, it's too close to the operating pressure of a LP 98 that you may experience drop off. And don't forget a Halo and double trigger. |
