Topic: Barrel for 98cPosted: 24 August 2004 at 9:33pm |

I just recently bought a 98c and I want to get a new barrel for it but I'm not sure what a good length for a barrel is for the best accuracy and efficiency. Can someone help me out and tell me what you think a good length would be. And also...if you have any suggestions for barrels to buy, that would help too.

If you play woodsbal I recomend the Flatline as it is kick*** for woodsball but its way to bulky for speed. If you play speed you will want a Lapco Bigshot, no questions asked unles you have money for a kit of some kind, Evil and Freak are good. The 8" Lapco Bigshot is really compact and will have almost the smae accuracy as the 12" and 14" which also are completely kick***. Feel free to PM me with further questions if you need to.

To be honest, any decent $50 barrel will give you all you're going to get out of a standard barrel. More important than the barrel is the quality of the paint and consistency of the gun.
Typically I shoot Evil or Diablo Field Blaze out of a Lapco Bigshot and get excellent results. I used a CP Classic, Dye Boomstick, and a Freak kit. None provided anything different than the Lapco. |

For those of you who were wondering...I ususally play speedball but I do play some woods. And thanks for helping me out with this...you guys have been a big help so far. The Lapco Bigshot seems to be what a lot of people prefer...maybe i should go with that. |

I am into the Lapco Bigshot. It does the trick in the woods. It also good on the speedball field. And at that price. Its worth more then you pay.

Like Greg didnt said, paint to barrel match and paint quality is everything. In N00bies barrel reviews, a 50 dollar Lapco bigshot with a goo Paint to barrel match shot better than a 120 Dye Boomstick with a bad Paint to barrel match. Edited by Notorious Bob |

i think the best thing is using allstar through the teardrop. there is nothing like it. every time i play i out shoot everything out there. i out shoot a a5 with armson, 98 w/j&j, 98 ultralight (my teardrop and it r about the same) and a bucnh of others and i strongly suggest this barrel.
