I'm doing a computer repair class at Sierra College, and our term project is pretty open ended, so I got the OK to make a new electronics board for my A-5. Does anyone know if this has been done before or have any helpful information on how to go about doing this? Thanks in advance for any helpful information. |

i don't really think it has been done, but natural newbie is pretty close to it. and i will be doing it soon myself for the 98. i dont have the any clue about the a5. but use a predator 2 board. or are you making one. well you will have to make one small enough to fit.

I'm going to try to make one from scratch, I don't think it will count for the class if I just buy something already made.

It doesn't have to be any faster, but thats what I'm going to try for. I could mabey buy one and modify it, but I think for it to count for the class I would have to make it mostly from scratch.

Yeah- you'd need resistors setup in four different modes- one that'll just "fire" once, one three times, one as fast as you want it, and "Turbo mode" will be very difficult. The fist three are acually pretty simple, just make the current "pulse." The A-5 is capped at 15 bps out of the sheer fact anything more is not needed. It can be done with an associates in Electronics. You don't need a friggin Masters unless you're doing a WAS board that programs dwell and bounce and etc. etc.

With the JCS adjustable dual trigger, I'm out shooting the board quite often. And I recently tested it to see how fast it fires and I got 11-12 BPS. But thank you for your help, and could you e-mail me with more info and/or a diagram? The instructor didn't say I couldn't just follow the steps someone else came up with |

I'v been waiting for a new board for the egrip, that is why I'v never gotten one, but when you make the new bord, post the schematics and I'll make one myself. Don't sell the design, make it public so they will be forced to lower the price of the Egrip

why? the cyclone can only feed at 16 not 15 bps max... if the e-grip is capable of fuffiling its speed than its perfect... and its a lot cheaper than e-bolt..

the reason why some people want the uncapped new board is because there are some people who also want to change the cyclone feed to either a differnt hopper or some of both. KP customs is making such a creation. Im not sure about how fast the actual gun can cycle but with an uncapped board and a different hopper like a Halo or even getting a warp feed would greatly increase the BPS one can shoot which would help on the speedball fields.
