I just got a 98 custom, I'm fairly new and I'm just wondering what the m-16 barrel triangle thing does how much it costs and is it worth it

it costs quite a bit. i would say your better off just geting a cap for the end of your tank and either a 14" barrel or a flatline barrel

The 1st pic is the BT-16 from Ben Tippmann, the barrel is pretty much useless, its basically like the stock barrel on the 98c and the A5, the handguard and the front sight can be bought seperately. The 2nd pic is the car stock, are you trying to make yer marker into a milsim? |

Well aren't you Mr. Helpy Helperton. It would probably be wise to not start the flaming if you wish to remain here. As for that barrel, unless you are going for the M16 missim look, I wouldn't waste my time with it. It's just added weight for no added performance. And that triangle on the front, which I think you were asking about is the front sight. Edited by SnakeEyes |

I said that I hated stock (front) grips for some reason the ones that are parralel with the trigger frame feel akward fo me. If it wasn't for some extra customizability I wouldv'e gone with the pro/carbine. The handguard wouyld fell more comfortable.

You have no idea how long I have played. How does me hating vert grips makes me a noob as yall call it. I don't care how a gun looks I care how it feels. This aint got nuthin to do with military.(Marines rule by the way and Army stinks by the way) But seriously does anyone else think noob is a dumb word |

i actualy own that exact barell, i payed $65 and it is not incredible but it is an improvement from the stock barell. honestly, a lot of these posts are just ignorant people that dont concider the posiblility that you might just plain like the way that upgrade looks. theres no reason for people to say things like noob, or whatever... man, alot of you flammer guys are probably too busy mashing people on line to even play paintball. thats all i have to say about that.

1. On a M-16, M-14, whatever, it protects the front sight and keeps it from getting bent, while on a paintball gun it is just for looks. Some people are into the mil-sim thing but I would save my money. 2. As for upgrades or preferences, it is all up to you. The best advice I could give you is to play with it stock for a while. I had mine several months before I bought anything new. Try out a couple different 98s if you can and see what you like. 3. Everyone was a n00b at one time TippmannA5User, the question is whether or not you ever grow out of it. |
