Anyone with considerable knowledge about 'Mags tell me some stuff. I am sick on having to deal with the batteries and the boards and all that crap. I just want a nice mech' gun and 'cockers are too high of maintenence. I was wondering about the ULE RT Custom or something like that with the Level 10 and ULT kit thingy. Also, I have heard that the X-Valve thing is inconsistent, and I;ve also seen 'Mags that have gas-through grips. So my question would be, is there any way to hook up a secondary reg to the marker, or would it be pointless? Thanks...

I have never seen a mag with a secondary reg, so I would assume that it is pointless.

the x-valve is a reg, and it is not inconsistent. it also has one of the fastest recharge rates out there. mags are very nice, fast mech guns, but ive known a few people that dont like the feel, so if you can you may want to shoot one before you buy one |

All Mag valves (not just the X-Valve) are also regulators, which is why you don't see Mags with regs. Mags are very nice, but don't give up on cockers either - despite popular myth, cockers are NOT high-maintenance (neither are Mags). Depending on your playing needs, you might also consider an A-5 - reliable high-performance mech gun. And unlike the Mag and the cocker, the A-5 doesn't need batteries or boards for its loader either.

Thanks for your input, but I've already had an A-5 and a 98c. They were great guns. The 98c was my brothers that he ended up giving it to me and they lasted up until about the beginning of the summer when I decided I needed something new. I saved up a bunch of money and bought a Shocker after playing with my friends and decided that I loved it. 2 months, 2 major problems with it and I'm done. The whole timing thingy on 'cockers sort of scared me away. I just got interested in 'mags after reading a couple article on them. I also saw that they were a really nice price. Under $500 for one that's loaded. Is the feel of mags that much different than other markers. I absolutely hated the way my A-5 felt at first, but then I got used to it. I got better and better with it to where using it was second nature. I then held and shot several more high-end markers (i.e. mech '03 cocker with lots of stuff on it, '03 Shocker, and a B2K4 w. pds) and really liked how they felt more comfortable to me. I am going to Atlanta soon so I will play with a 'Mag. Thanks, and any more input on 'mags would be appreciated. |

You should definitely shoot a Mag before buying. The trigger feel is very different, and the entire gun weight distribution is very different from other guns. I am a big fan personally, but other don't like them. Definitely try it first, though. If you do go Mag, however, you will want the LVL10 or X-Valve upgrades, which means only nitro thereafter. Good luck.

Could I use my 68/45 NitroDuck LP tank with it, or would I have to buy an HP tank?

You'll need HP input to the gun. In fact, I am not aware of any mech gun that doesn't want HP input. Anybody?

i believe it is either stock or with intelliframe, you can run the marker on three modes. mechanical, which it uses no batteries, hybrid. im not too sure how this operates, and you can use battery making it full electronic. |

You are thinking of E-Mags/X-Mags. They will run either as sear-trippers or as fully mechanical. All other Mags are fully mechanical (unless they have a Booyah grip or other after-market e-grip).

I have a some questions... 1st- what is the real advantage of a 0* (the Logic) grip frame? 2nd- what would you need in order to run a gas through on it? 3rd- I don't understand it saying that the feedneck on the ULE bodies are Angel threaded. Does that mean you can buy a clamping feedneck that's for an Angel and it will fit? And the same with the detents? 4th- what are the specs on the RT Pro? i.e. weight, length, stuff like that. Thanks... |

1. the logic grip frame first of all allows for a tighter setup so you can get tighter behind lets say a tree or bunker, also it fully adjustable, also its more ergonomicle so you can hold it longer with out getting tired, and it looks awsome!! 2.well youd need a vertical adapter and if you want to run a gas thru grip you have to order the gun off there because the vertical adapter will only fit dovetailed rails similar to a sight rail and if you order anywhere else the rail will not be dovetailed because he is the only one who will do it for you stock. also you will want to get a cp mini gas thru grip because it is the only gas thru that looks good on a automag because since its mini it doesnt go down past the frame cause the va is already an inch long 3. exactly what you said 4.it is arguably one of the lightest guns out there, as of length i would guess that the body is around 6 or 7 inches maybe shorter (there small) for anythine else go here http://store.airgun.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=catalog.prodInf o&productID=368&categoryID=79 http://www.airgun.com/RTpro.shtml Edited by vftactical2 |
