I've been doing a little shopping around and am now interesting in getting a cocker to upgrade from my 98c. First of all, I would like to know the ups and downs of cockers? How easy are they to maintain and clean?
Also I was wondering if the phsychoballistics superbolt was a good starter. I found it at 888paintball for $210 which is one of the cheapest ive found. So basically any information on autocockers would be helpful. |

Ok, well right now I still don't know. pbreview.com is absolutely no help since most people just say that the gun is awesome before they even use it.
If anyone owns one let me know how it works. Im still leaning toward a WGP since they have been making cockers longer and are somewhat more reliable. I just wanted to know cause phsyochoballistics has good customer support. |

Cockers are good guns for techicnally minded people. Most of the parts are one the outside which makes maintenance easy, but makes it kind of tough to clean when your gun takes a hit. Until you get to know cockers it's best not to do any adjusting on them, just the regular cleaning. Once you know the how's what's and why's, you'll find out that they aren't as hard to work on as people say. WGP guns are good, I've owned a couple myself, but for the money an ANS gun is a much better deal. |

Ok let me first mention that I am on a rather tight budget. Thats why I was looking at the super bolt and lighting. I am now also looking at the WGP VF 02. Is it also worth it to upgrade to a cocker? Right now my tippmann is hogging alot of gas and very inconsistent. I could eitheer shell more money into that or forget it and start over with something different.
BTW thanks for the input, its helped alot. Except if your gonna tell me they suck give me reasons why and what I should look at instead. |

Im thinkin something basic to start with that way I only get the upgrades that i feel I need. I dont want an electro, just a nice mech. So probobly 03 or 04 vert since WGP seems to be the only company that seems to be "good". Im tryin not to blow the bank here so I wont go with anything to big cause i need a reg and a nitro tank.

If you plan on upgrading it to the max, just get like one of the
cheapest you can find because you will be upgrading it all
anyway. But if you do it slow, i suggest getting a good basic
sturdy one, such as the 03 vert.

Ok well thanks alot. Ive decided to get an 02 or 03 vert cocker to play around with. That way if I dont like it alot it wont be a big waste or if i screw something up on it i wont be as mad. The question now is to go used or go new. Ive had experience with getting other peoples junk in the past which is probly the case with most of the cockers, so im leaning toward new.
