Ok I have totally been convinced that I need a new graphics card. My 9200 right now is just not cutting it. I been thinking of the Geforce 5900 ultra or Radeon 9800 pro. My system specs right now are: 2.4 P4 prescott hyperthreading If you have any other suggestions on cards be my guest, but truely I wish to know what is better 5900 or 9800?? |

i would recommend a 6800 gt like youmont said, i have used one for unreal tourny 04 and it was completly flawless. the radeon is also awsome im sure. they are both really good, it is just a question of your personal preferences.

A 9800PRO can't even be compared to a 6800GT. You are comparing an 8 pipeline card to one with 16. If you can afford a 6800GT, get it and forget about the 9800PRO. |

Yes, yes you can. Watch. A 9800 Pro 128mb is $200. A 6800 GT is around $400. I just compared them, you see it's easy when there's a 200$ difference between the two cards. However, the 6600GT is also going to be released soon with a retail around $300 and fairly good performence about between the 9800pro and 6800GT, so keep your eye out for that. Also, if money is an issue, pick up a 9800se. They're around 130-150$ and perform close to the 9800 pro and can be overclocked to perform just like the 9800 pro. |

Get the 9800 Pro, or possible a 9600 XT, depends on what your doing. ANd if you have more than 300 dollars, the 6800, 6800gt, and the X800s are all good..

you can get a 9800pro and flash the bios to a 9800xt, that is if you have a r350 core.

Unless you're into throwing money away, I wouldn't suggest EVER buying the newest card on the market. It'll be half the price (or less) in a year and will still run the newest games quite well.
It's like buying a Spyder for the paintjob... Pointless. |
