i read on post on this forum saying that the impulse without the vision eye thingy is a "chop maniac". Is this true? I'm thinking about buying an impy off of this guy for 350. Its in great condition. Im kind of on a tight budget but i would have to wait a few months before i could afford an imp with the vision eye. Is the chopping really that bad?

Varies how fast you can walk the Trigger. If your under 14pbs I wouldn't plan on Choping anytime soon... (If your not fast fanning the Trigger I wouldn't buy a new hopper) |

I owned an Impy and thats true. I had an Impy without vision and I only chopped a ball once and that was because I was using poopy Zap paint. As long as you have a loader that can feed fast enough you should have no problems. Edited by ScarFace22 |

I also had the WAS kit on my Impy and I'll tell you the WAS board is alot better then the horrible SP vision system.

when i had no WAS board in my imp i was chopping like hell (i was using an egg... maybe it wasnt turned up all the way) but when i got the WAS board it shoots darts. i used it a week ago (timmy was in the shop, thank god for backups) with my friends halo and with debounce 2 on and i had never seen it shoot so fast. get a WAS board eventually

It might have been that you didn't have your EVO turned up high enough.I also was using a stock Impy with no vision and an EVOII but only chopped once. Either way its still a good idea to get the WAS board.

I used a halo with my impulse. I chopped like a blender. I tohught the halo was force feeding, it was some times, but even when i got the stronger detents, it still chopped. Tell us what all is on it so we can say weather it is worth the money. 3 |
