pwned is a word sorta...it started out as a typo someone trying to say owned and it was just used ever sense means the same thing as owned

A corruption of the word "Owned." This originated in an online game
called Warcraft, where a map designer misspelled "owned." When the
computer beat a player, it was supposed to say, so-and-so "has been
owned."
Instead, it said, so-and-so "has been pwned." It basically means "to own" or to be dominated by an opponent or situation, especially by some god-like or computer-like force. |

It started as "elite" and moved to "313373" then moved to "1337". It is pronounced "leet"... |

The only reason I ask is because with the world progressively getting dumber and people teaching each other how to be illiterate, if someone does speak out, we'll all be like George Bush. "They misunderstanded me" Honestly people saying stuff like "j00, pwned, cuz, wut, etc." does absolutely nothing. It doesn't save time, it doesn't make you look smart, so whats the point? As I said, even if you think if can save you time when typing, does it really mater if your post, IM, etc. is sent 1 or 2 seconds faster? Come on people.
