I am buying a new gun, I am constructing a sniper.

It's not the best, but for accuracy just match the paint bore to the barel bore. Also, the setup isn't anything spectacular, it's actually considered a somewhat mundane standard setup for the 98C.

yeah, but i don't need anything spectacular :)
As long as I get accuracy, a scope and it works :)
so It's a good sniper setup? or do you recommend other setup?

Are you looking for long distance shooting or stealth? If you're looking to be making long distance shots, obiviously you're going to want a Tippmann 98 or A-5 with a Flatline barrel. If you are looking for stealth, I would recommend a Tippmann 98 with an Armson Stealth barrel. You don't necessarily need to make your marker look like an M-16 unless you are going for realism. IMO, the M-16 parts are a waste. With the money, there are much better parts that you can buy.

I don't know what a Dye Ul takaosa is, but the thing you should be posting is what kind of paint do they sell in Finland? Marballizers work good in the Ultralite, PMI Premiums work good in the Flatline. It is a shame you want your gun to look like an M-16, I would go for something much better than that. If you really want realism, you'll definately want to go here. http://www.opsgear.com
It's a dedicated and the best Milsim site for Tippmanns. I'm pretty sure you can find something a lot better than GTA parts to make your gun look the way you want. and they have bi-pods for you.

Also, how heavy of an influence is British English over there? I'd sure hate to have English ruining yet another language...

Cheers!

p.s. Guys, don't flame with the sniper crap. we have a guest from another country posting here who probably doesn't have a book on "How to be an American Soldier" and doesn't need to be lectured on terminology.

ya no flaming allowed

umm, if you want distance, accuracy, and realism, the only thing i can think of is make a costum shroud for the flatline

if you only want the accuracy, and the realism, well then, the dye ultralite, or if you want a lil cheeper, i think the CP 1 piece is good

For distance, get the Flatline.
For stealth & quietness, get an Armson Stealth.

Both of which work good with PMI Marberlizers.

the m-16 barrel is not really good. I'd get the Flaltine cuz, well it's... the BEST! Unsurpassed range and mediocre accuracy at those ranges is more than you can ask for from any other barrel. If you want morei nfo about it then plz check out my Flaltine sticky.
I need to find smaller pictures for my profile.

if you play woodsball and want to be a "sniper" get a 98c flatline and a remote coard. if a stock feels right while holing the gun get a carbine stock. if you lay down a ton of play where there can be a good amount of elevation differences then look into a bipod. If you get the flatline it will look like a real gun, especialy with a stock so if you just want it to look like a gun but not a specific one dont waste your money on "m-16" look alike parts

okey thanks!
I was looking at the BT-16 (Ben Tippmann) m-16 barrel.
I might buy the J&J ceramic pipe, and maybe later mod the M-16 shroud around the barrel. Thanks for the answers people!
