So is the A-5 a good investment or not? Is it worth the $250.00 or is it not worth it?

Depends. i would say yes. If you have more money i would look into a higher end gun. but the A5 can be upgraded to a speedball gun and/or a woodsball gun. plus the cyclone feed rocks.

I think this is a great gun, only downside is that it is a gas hog. but other than that, it is a pretty nice gun.like ad paintball said it can be upgraded, I got my A5 as long as my chest is tall. I could have the barrel tip touching the ground, and the stock I got would be touching almost to my armpit, and I am about 5'6 to 5'8. (20" barrel and that folding combat stock)

So the A-5 w/ cyclone feed is worth the money. I mean on a scale from 1 to 10 im about a 6. I go every other week when I get paid so I can refill my C02 and buy paintballs so for my stage I think it woul be a good investment |

My A5 had way too many problems, and the cyclone sucks. I'd go with a 98, new hopper and barrel instead.

I like the A5 but i am personally more comfortable shooting my 98 so I
say shoot both of them and get which one feels best because they both
perform about the same, except for the cyclone feed. But you can get a
empire reloader for 44 bucks and it works great.

In the future, please do a quick search for answers to your questions or the items they relate to before making a new thread. Most of the time you can find your answers right away by doing a search instead of making a new thread. This saves you time by giving you answers instantly instead of waiting for people to answer and it saves us time and aggravation because we don't have to type these answers repeatedly for every person that comes here. I just answered a question similar to this one not long ago that a search would surely have turned up. Here's a link. In that thread the topic was comparing the 98c to the A5 but in doing that I answer your question as well. Check it out and if you have any more questions you can PM me. What it didn't address though is the rumors about the A5 being a gas hog. In my experience with the gun and other tippmann guns, it is far from a gas hog, especially with a reg. My 98c got about 1000 shots from my 68/4500 tank and so does my A5. People say that's normal for the 98c so I don't see why that wouldn't be normal for the A5 as well. Some people claim that they get only 500 shots per 20oz CO2 but I seriously doubt it's the gun at fault. I get the same efficiency with the A5 as I do with my 98c (maybe even slightly better with the reg) so unless I got a super A5, my guess is that those people got defective ones or maybe their tank is bad. |
