Well for starters I'd like to say hello to you all, I've spent the better part of the past 2 hours reading thread after thread of your posts on sniping in paintball and now understand how noobish of an idea that truly was so thank you. I currently own a Spyder E-99 which really isn't bad at all, but it's too innacurate and unreliable most of the time for me, and not so great out in the woods which is the only way I've ever played. Getting back to the point of this thread, is that I'm probably going to get a 98c but I'm waiting for a good deal off ebay for one. I stumbled upon the accessories to make it look similar to an M16 and I wanted to know if anyone has actually used it, more specifically the barrel. I'm kinda just looking for pro's/con's here and hope that maybe somone else has personal experience with it before I possibly just waste money like I was about to on making it into a "sniper rifle" before tonight. I'd just like to know if my attempt at making a very catchy looking gun is going to decrease the performance drastically or even at all. Thanks guys, I look forward to your replies.

ALight bro, good job reading before buying always pays off. As far as a
m-16pb thing might go, it could improve accuracy feel and look. I would
buy it If I was only gonna play woods.

Yea, its a trait I get from my uncle researching about something before I put the money out there. I'm sorry I started this thread in this category, I didn't realize there was a whole section for customizing , that was my bad. I try to read other peoples posts before I ask my own questions otherwise you end up with a thousand posts of the same thing. Thanks for the replies nonetheless. I guess I can throw another question out while I'm reading for the next 2 hours, what masks would you guys recommend? All I really care about is performance and the best "bang for my buck". Thanks again.

most of the handguards you will find (i know opsgear.com this is true).... will fit 7/8 - 1" barrels... so you can buy a better barrel and just put the handguards on it...
I prefer .223 over .68

the collapsible M4 stocks that i've seen are comparable to the stock on my Colt M4.... not flimsy at all... just don't get something cheap

I didn't realize the A-5 could be customized as well as the 98c, comparing the guns alone what would you guys say is a better choice? Is either better than the other in much of any way?

Asteroc, read the sticky post... one of the forum elders did a good job comparing the 98 and A5....

i like my A5 for the cyclone feeder (i don't need a separate hopper), the overall appearance and feel (the MP5 styling), and the flatline barrel on the A5 is great for woodsball...
