I recently bought an A-5 with red dot sight and I can't
fit it on the rail due to the hopper. Any ideas

i have an idea, dont use a sight. there useless and only get in your way.

paintball guns arent that accurate to use a sight, and most of the time your not aiming at your target, your actually "lobbing" your paintball because of the distance.

its also really easy to get flanked if your looking through a sight too long, your only focusing on in front of you, instead of your sides.

Well thats personal preferenece man becuase I liek sight rails. just becuase sometimes you might like it to look down. I have seen pro teams with red dot sights and sight rails. Some people just like to look down the barrel. But my gun and setup make it increasingly difficult to do that. So I have gottten to use sighrails and I have gotten use to using them. And with some experience I have learned that I like using the sight rail much better then I ever liked looking down the barrel.

JCS makes an offset sight rail that will enable to use the hopper with a red dot.... http://www.shorepaintballsupplies.com/jcsofsira.html

i just googled it and that site came up... you can buy directly from JCS but i can't find the site.... they are much cheaper than opsgear.com

I prefer .223 over .68
