An expansion chamber would help to keep the liquid CO2 out of your gun, but it still wouldn't be as efficient as nitro. If you don't want to buy nitro though, an expansion chamber is a good idea.

Nitro would still work better.....co2 has many limitations that Nitro doesnt......believe me.....I can't fire my e-bolt at it's full capabilities because I'm still runnin co2....the bolt wont return all the way because the co2 isn't expanding quickly enough.....so balls are either chopped or thrown back up the feedneck.....so I have to turn the ROF down on the board......just an example of co2's downsides....

CO2 is compressed as a liquid, "Nitro" is a gas.

CO2 can never be as efficient as HPA, however,
using anti-siphon tubes, expansion chambers, and
CO2 tolerant regulators will all help in making CO2
perform MUCH better...

Yeah dude just forget it and buy Nitro...it will cost maybe even less than getting all the fixings to make Co2 decent.

says who? my 16 ounce stubby is a whole heck of a lot smaller than my freinds 68/3000... and i get a good deal more shots out of my tank. co2 generally may not be as consistent as HPA, but i've gotten +-2fps with it before...

Get real. A decent x-chamber and co2 is just fine. Explain to me how all the "fixings" will cost more then a beefcake expensive HPA tank....

HPA has its uses, but its not all everyone makes it out to be. Especially since most of the "downsides" of co2 are trumpeted by the HPA tank makers. Gee i wonder why...

Effiecient? co2 is far and above more effecient then HPA. A co2 tank will ALWAYS hold more gas then a HPA tank.

As for consistency, i shot +-4fps over the chrono with my a5 using just a crappy old tippmann x-chamber and my 20oz.

Yeah, when I said "efficient" I was really thinking
"consistent".

And BTW, I bet I can get more shots out of my
68/4500 then you could get out of a 20oz Co2!

You will get more shots from a 20 oz C02 tank than a 68/4500.

The real negative to c02 is chronoing at a legal level then hitting the field, getting velocity spikes and getting nailed by a ref for a hot gun.

I use both all of the time and like both equally. Well.....I like c02 a bit more.

^^ well no, co2 doesnt make u fire slower, ull shouldent be using co2 b/c it will fry ur board, and by co2 not expanding it just makes things cold and liquid gets in, i hope u have a reg (if not then.....WOW), also note wat firefly said up above, " not nearly as fast when frozen up..."

well anyway,
HPA is always better than co2, b/c co2 is both a liquid and a gas depeding on the temature, HPA is always gas, and just fior ur fino : in paint ball liquid = bad
