i have an a5 that breaks balls like no other, i do have a flatline, but it breaks just as many as my stock barrel and 14". so i know its not just the flatline. on avg, every 20th ball breaks. i havent been shooting old paint, just new nelslat and nelson anarchy. i do have an r/t and nitro runnin thru a remote. i polished my internals, and i dont think i messed anything up. i just have no clue why my gun breaks so many balls. has anyone else had this problem, or know what causes it?

questions...
1- was it breaking balls before the polishing?
2- velocty? whats it at?
3- Did you have this problem with the paint before? If you never tried this paint before your polishing.. try some new paint..

If you are not sure.. then turn your velocity down, and try it again.
Usually if it breaks on a wide range ( ex: every 20th ball...) this can be because of the velocity. And the polishing combination.. It could be different for an a-5, but dont flame me if Im wrong.. Just insufficient polishing/high velocity/not the best paint.. = sticky mess..

Im not familiar with those balls. I know that I got some paint from a friend the other day, and every 4rth ball would break, and it was brand new hard shell paint.. So i bought someother paintballs, that had a softer shell..at wal mart, some wild streaks, and didnt break a ball all day..

More then likely it is:
-your polishing..
-velocity
-not the best paint...

id break with that paint w/o polished internals, but less than now. how much do new reciever halves cost for the a5. thanx. oh, and my velocity is usually around 280, but i run about to 265 or 270 with my flatline for obvious reasons.

Is the paint in the barrel or on the bolt when it breaks?

try a new bolt
98 custom

popemobile- to answer your question, the paint has
been in the barrel everytime, except once, and i think
that the reason the paint got into the chamber was
because i
broke 3 in a row, and then tried to swab it, and i
believe i just pushed the paint back into the
chamber. 1man team98, why a new bolt, it sounds
logical, but i cant see any damage or anything on
the bolt or bolt o-ring. what about the barrel adapter?
could that be the cause of the problem? thanks for
all the help

is it breaking close to the rear of the barrel if it is get a starr bolt(888paintball.com)
