I finally have gotten around to getting pictures of my newest creation. After many hours in the shop and help from my father we've finally have constructed the first (that I know of) Mil-Sim Shocker! Overall Picture Front Shroud As you can notice, there is a guage sticking out the bottom. Within the shroud is the older style horizontal Max Flo that I rigged up under the barrel. The shroud originally was a 2" x 3" chunk of oak, now it has been hollowed out and shapped, then stained. The clip was made from a piece of 1" x 1.25" Polyethylane (AKA Black Plastic), hollowed somewhat and notched to silouette with the trigger frame and solenoid tray. Nothing flashy, just for looks. However, if I do get enough feedback from friends and other players, I might decide to make a Drum clip from some 5" PVC and some Lexan. The stock. It holds pretty nicely and isn't that heavy compared to using a 20oz co2 tank. It's comprised of three pieces of oak that have been laminated together, woodworked, and stained. I am seriously thinking about rigging a Q-Loader onto it instead of the Evolution, however with the lack of funds that will have to wait for a bit. The Shocker itself is a 2002 Shocker Sport 4x4 with a Delrin Bolt, Full Body Filter, 14" Freak with All American Front, with a .689 Insert. I've done many modifications and customizing to the stock double trigger. It has a feather light pull, 1mm total pull length and a .5mm marker activation (when the marker actually fires) pull length. This is thanks to the super light spring, modified microswitch, and a trigger length stop I made. Let the judging commence! |

Looks good, although I think the drum mag would make it look better. To me at least, the front shroud just looks like aplain old block of wood. The mag coming from it would look real nice, IMO. I like the idea of turning a speedball-related gun into a mil-sim, very original. I like the looks, excellent job!

Thanks everyone for the positive feedback. The front shroud throws off the look but it had to be that big to cover the regulator. The marker gets lots of looks and ahhs at the field, people just love it. Zombieman, the Shocker is ideal for Woodsball. It's quiet, accurate, fast, and reliable. It's also great for scenario games. What more can you ask for? Asky26, I have played speedball with it. It's very comfy to hold and snap shoot with. The weight doesn't bother me since it's just 15lbs and the fact that I'm experienced in all aspects of paintball, I hold my own on the field. |

Not bad....kinda reminds me of Thompson Shooters "Tommy Gun", the handguard can use some more work....round off the square edges and make it a lil longer.

very cool, i like it. just the front grip is...umm. maybe you could cut some grooves in the side, like long ones, and narrow it a little bit
[-------] kinda like that but not in sections, kinda hard to explain, but very nice work. i love it! ![]() |
