Hmmm...I thought this was ideas forum, not challenge forum. But Im attaching a spyder trigger frame on my tippy 98 and I could put an eye on it. It involves alot of grinding and welding. Edited by Monk |

Read the response I posted in the other thread on this. Why are you doing it? For kicks? If you want it done for fun, do it yourself. If you're doing this for some super bonus speed you think you'll get, it's not happening. Although I'd bet that given enough money, either Enos or I could slap something together.. but it would most likely be a waste. It's not exactly simple to convert an open-bolt blowback to a closed-bolt autococking pump. PM me with why you want to do this. I may have some ideas for you. |

^^ be careful the tippmann bodys are alluminum and the grips are probably steel i dont know if you can weld the 2 togeather. it is hard enuff to weld aluminum let alone a mix. have a pro do it. i have ben welding fro 3 years and i would be hesitant to do it without prackticing first.

Heh You wouldnt need to, im assuming he means just use the sear tripping portion of the eblade. Which would be a total waste of a tippmann. Who wouldnt you just use a cheap dragun frame or an espyder frame, whats the sense in buying the most overpriced e-frame there is... |

He has a point. When I talked about the 'coolness' factor, that only applies if you bother to do the ridiculous amount of work needed to make a cocker out of a Tippmann (except for an SL, which would be a bit easier). Otherwise you could just... build/modify an e-blade, or get an overdrive kit (coming soon from Enos [carbine] and myself [98C]). |
