Wow, this is the second time I have been out playing speedball with my "New" (to me) SL68 . I had a lot of fun , and caught a lot of good natured ribbing from the other players out on the field,,, until about the second,or third game.... The local field's Top pump player happened to be there this evening , and the refs kept pairing us up and splitting us , depending on the numbers of players on each team , roughly 8-13 players on each team per game . We talked back and forth , and kept track of the agressive players , and where they went , and planned our advances accordingly . on the Sup-air field I play at , along with the usual layout of air bunkers , and snakes ,, there are Four towers , (elevated approximately 3 feet , and enclosed on 3 sides , and about 5 feet on a side ) We were trading fire at the base of opposing towers , snapshooting , and trying to pop each other , about 15 meters apart , both with pumps . I made a wide lateral move , keeping bunkers , towers , and Line of sight shots to a minimum (hoping for an angle on his last known position at the base of the tower ) . I holed up for a few seconds , waiting for some shots to reveal where he was , either hitting near his position , or the report from his gun,,,, I moved 15 feet upfield (air bunker cover) , I was nearly up to where his last shot had come from , still nothing ,,, then I heard the scuff of his boots against plywood . He was in the Tower less than 20 feet from me . I crouched and advanced from the last good cover I had , using his tower walls as Line of sight concealment . I was low and fast , and as I came around the tower entrance , I stepped on a Paintball on the ground , I took another step , and as I fired my marker at him , he also let the hammer down on me , our shots were almost at the same instant , and we called ourselves out at the same time . Tactically not the greatest play I ever made , but both He and I gave each other a High five , and were congratulating each other on the shot made . That was the most adrenaline filled 45 seconds of paintball I Have had in a long time !! Thanks Corey !! , and Westworld for a Great night of Speedball . I wont mention the brunette in a cropped Tanktop that shared my table all night , and had a Mech cocker that I got to check out all evening , thats another story , and not fit for posting here , He-he (Ya , she played that way , and did fairly well ,in spite of some cranky timing issues with her marker ) |

ive played speed with my pump before, i had a great time. it brings out a whole new aspect to the game, instead of shooting whenever you need cover or think you see someone, your mostly just advancing to better bunkers to get as close to your next opponent as possible. |

Sounds cool. I'm picking up a pump arm for my 'cocker just so I can play pump. Sounds like you had a ton of fun.
