remotes or tanks on gun

i dont like remotes, they get in the way alot and tangle up in bushes and brush sometimes. and the worst part is your always tethered to your gun and can put it down.

get a stock and drop. stocks are good for woods, and a drop keeps the tank out of the way, and balances the gun well.

I've used tank on the gun and it does give you a better freedom and rane of motion but is awkward in in tight quarters. I haven't used with a drop forward to fully go in favor of it, but i hear it balances the gun out. Works great if you paly speedball, no worries about being tied to your tank

I run a remote comfortably as a woodsball player. I dig deep into trenches and brush without snagging much.  I'm used to moving with it I guess... got no problems crossing over to the left hand either but with an A5 the cyclone gets in the way a bit..

Each one has its pros and cons.

On the tank, as mentioned many times....the HPA/Co2 tank helps balances out the weight of the marker and can be used as a stock, also in this configuration....if you are using co2 an anti-siphon tube is a "must have" to avoid liquid co2 from leaking into the internals of the marker causing the O-rings to freeze up and crack, but do be very careful, Ive seen a pic in either PB2X or Facefull where a speedball player was diving over a bunker, he landed face 1st into the ground and at the sametime, the HPA tank "snapped off" from the asa rendering it totally useless to use in that particular game....not a very good thing fer anyone.

The remote line is mainly used in woodsball, there are a few people that do use it in a speedball game.

The remote line is commonly used in woodsball and a anit-siphon tube isnt needed in the tank and the remote also helps in expanding the liquid co2 into a gas, it helps lighten the weight of the marker and Im sure you have read and heard stories that the remote line will get caught up on branch (that has never happened to me)....and if you think bout it, the only way the line will ever get caught if the person is swingin and jumpin from tree to tree as if he was Tarzan, then of course the remote line will get caught up on a branch.

More info on the remote line question cus I know yer gonna ask later: As fer the location of the tank when using the remote line.....you only have 2 locations....1. Is the traditional configuration, in the center of the pod harness, in this setup its sometimes difficult to reach the on/off valve on the tank (its like experiencing an itch that you cant reach) or 2. In a tank pouch that can be strapped to yer thigh (left or right) and pant belt.....the 2nd option fer the location of the tank is the best one and its the same configuration that I use wit my remote line, its much easier to reach the tank to turn on/off the air supply and you dont need to worry bout having the tank on yer lower back if you happened to fall backwards....inwhich it could result in some major pain or damage to yer spine.

The weight of a tank is the same whether it's on your back on on your arm. However, if it's not strapped down well, or if too much weight is riding on the hips, it will bounce around when running. The bouncing might slot you down, not the weight. You're also forgetting one important factor: conformity. Speedball players don't use remotes because remotes aren't what's cool in that social circle.

I said a regular tank. Dont have to worry about it getting tangled up and in the winter time you won't have any problems

^^^ Yeah, remotes are purely a matter of preference. Try one & see if you like it.
