flatline, definitely. It's not that hard to clean, they give you an extra-long squeegee.

Well, are you willing to spend close to $130 for a barrel? If so, I wouold say get the Flatline for the added distance. The BigShot is a very affordable, reliable, and pretty accurate barrel.

Flatline is very good. It does NOT break balls more than any other barrel, no matter how much people insist that it does.
It is tough to clean.. but as long as you've got a decent feeding setup and/or don't shoot too fast it shouldn't break balls very much. |

If your gonna go spend the money on the flatline, then I would say forget the FL and go for a better barrel, such as a Smartparts All-America ($75) or a Freak, or A Dye Ultralight, Boomstick, or any other really good barrel, I would go for the Pipe Kit ($200) or the Stiffi barrel or kit. ($100-$200). There all better barrels then the Lapco and Flatline. All REALLY on target, and really nice barrels. |

mmmmm... no. Smartparts All American and freaks are not better than the Flaltine. The Flaltine can compare to them in accuracy and compeltely pwns them in distance. But it doesn't really matter what barrels we like. What we need to know is what kind of bal lyou play. If you play woods, go for the Flatline. It has unsurpassed range and good accuracy. There have been alot of rumors spread about it by Flaltine haters, like the it's hard to clean one, but they are not true. If you play speed go for the Lapco Bigshot. You shouldn't blow extra money on a barre like the boomstick because they give pretty much identicle performance. Kits, on the other hand, are a better way to go for speed because you can change the bore for different types of paint at fields. BTW for lengths, you wanna say between 10" and 14" They are the best lenghts. Which you choose, is up to you. If you have any more Flaltine related questions check out my sticky in the Upgrades and Customizing forum or PM me. Preferably in that order. |

well if you play woodsball more than speedball then get the flatline for sure. But it's also really loud. But so is the Bigshot kinda. If you play more speedball than woodsball then get the aLapco. Sure anybarrel will break paint ANY but it's because your shooting too fast, which means you need to get a motorized hopper. like a 12v revvy. You can e-mail me at FCsniper13@aol.com if you need more info. |

Simple, he has never used one and bases his opinion what others have said. Or he knows of someone with no common sense that could not operate a flatline properly. The A-5 with a flatline, when used properly and maintained will not break paint. I have fired more than 16000 round through my flatline and have had no balls break. Read that again. Plus I have the added benefit of being ready to go for the entire weekend with no maintenence between games except for paint and CO2. |
