I have recently lost my 98 Custom.   I know it wasn't the most advanced gun, but I loved that gun.  I can't believe it got stolen.  What should I do?

Just buy a new one and when you find out who stole it, kick their arses.

Go to where it was lost and or stolen and ask around.  If you can get a good idea on who may have taken it, talk to them.  If you can tell that they are not tellin you the truth, show him what the five fingers said to the face. SLAP!  If he's got to many friends, go get yours, and maybe just some idiot you know that loves handing out a good ass whoopin.  If you can't find it, go get a job and buy and A5.

BTW:  I wish that i hand insurance on my gun, then it would get stolen.  Then I would buy and A5.  Anyway, thats about all you can do if you don't have a serial number.

Ohh, also, if you have some custom stuff on it, try and find it and steal it back without telling the guy.  If he tries to confront you, either attract the attention of a nearby cop, or whoop him with the tank. (Not really, cause that would get you sent to jouvy or however you spell it).

Oh, I see, and it would have been his fault if he had gotten murdered too, eh?

Sometimes, yes. It's your job to not put yourself in certain situations. If you are at a field, and walk away from your gun leaving it unatended on some bench it will probably walk off. If you leave it in the back seat of your car in broad daylight, it could get stolen.

People are pathetic now. It seems like personal property is no longer sacred, and if you have something better than or what they want, they will just take it instead of working for it.

So, the lesson is, protect yourself. Don't leave your gun sitting around unattended or in plain sight. It's up to you to protect your equipment. Do your best to make it as unaprochable as possible, that way someone looking for an easy steal will pass it up. You won't stop theft, but you can make it harder.

Well, as we don't know the complete circumstances behind the theft, as none of us witnessed it, I find it rather callous to make character judgments about this fellow.

He was the victim, he lost his marker. Give him a break.

Theft could happen to any one of us. A determined thief can and will overcome ANY precautions if they are driven enough to do the deed.

How is contacting the police going to get the thieves nervous? If the police don't know who has it, no one is going to get worried.

And what is a b/m?

c'mon people, someone was nice to you one time. stop being phallic organisms and give him a break. if breaking a forum rule is cause for a riot, i'm scared to think what the reaction would be if something worse happened. the kid lost his gun, and he wants to know is there are any COAs he can take. answer that question. don't tell him to sit in the corner. "dumass."
