Umm no.

Most HD's out there are the same speed, and game files are uplaoded into your ram and away you go.

BTW I would recommend faster RAM, I dont know what mobo you have soo.

while most hard drives are around the same speed, that isn't one of them. 4200 RPM is pretty slow. 7200RPM is a more common speed. that said, i'd upgrade RAM if i were you.

You have an extremely slow HD.  But for gaming, more ram is the key.  Atleast in this case.  In order of importance

VGA
CPU or Ram
HD

Ram is defintly important. For todays games it's good to have a GB of it. I need to get some more. If you wana get a bigger HD and you get a like 130GB one you can make the paging file really big. I'm not sure if it works at the same quality as gettign more ram but it's an option.
I need to find smaller pictures for my profile.

It's not so much that you need a FASTER hard drive as it is that you need a bigger one. 40GB is okay for people who only use their computer for browsing the internet and some music, but for people who actually make good use of their computer for gaming, making things in powerpoint, word, excel, rendering 3D images, stuff like that, they need something like 80GB.

I'm saving for a 250, yes, I need it.
