an adapter comes with the kit. that screws into the gun, and the barrel itself slides into the adapter. then, just tighten the screw on the adapter, and you're ready to go.

uhh ya they do by putting backspin on the ball it kinda of counteracts the law of gravity by puting lift on it.

from wut ive seen it doesnt make it shoot any "farther" per say as it makes it travel strait farther. btw I own it. My Example: My Gun (having the Flatline) and my friends gun (not having the flatline) shoot almost the exact same distance (roughly 200-300ft) the flatline seems to not make the ball physically go FARTHER but to let it travel strait longer. EX my gun friends gun goes the same range but after about 100 feet the ball starts to drop and while still going 200-300 ft it travels the last 100-200 feet slowly dropping to the ground : the flatline on the otherhand shoots the same range but stays at level till about the last second when it drops to the ground. So in a scence it alows u to shoot farther but overall i dont like it, Its big/bulky/heavy and expensive. Also I find it much more effective to before i shoot get up close to the person so that i cant possibly miss (dont fire till u can see the whites of the eyes sort of thing) this way u dont miss. just be stealthy and go splinter cell on them. |

Where'd you get yer info from?....the Flatline adds another 150ft to the 50 or so feet on the other barrels on the market (except fer the stock barrel which is crap) and 300ft is like shooting like a real firearm and the only way 300ft can be achieved wit the Flatline is shooting downhill and this done by using gravity to ones advantage when using a Flatline, now shooting uphill will only go half way and again due to "gravity". And Samurai yer sayin the Flatline shoots the same distance as a 6", 8", 10", 12" barrel like the Lapco Big Shot, DYE Boomstick and the J&J Ceramic, etc., then tell me and the others in the forum whats the "purpose" of using the Flatline. Now theres been only 1 barrel that can match the same distance of the Flatline, thats the Hop-Up barrel on the Armotech markers |

I dont own a Tippmann, so I'm not exactly sure. From what I hear, all my friends like it. I heard that it does "snipe" people. It is like Samerai said, it doesnt go further it just keeps it straight, but I doubt it will go 300ft, a rifle would do that, you would have to raise it a little bit.

You dont have a Tippmann and yer not sure bout its performance, then why post yer opinion on it if you dont or havent used a Flatline and I wont doubt that yer friends has the Flatline, but it doesnt mean you know something bout the Flatline, you only know what you see and hear from others. |

the Flatline DOES add distance to your shots. It is a HUGE improvement over the stock barrel, and it definitely outshoots every other barrel i've seen. no other barrel is capable of reaching the distances of the Flatline. the Flatline also eliminates the need to lob your shots, because the ball travels straight. think of it this way...the Flatline puts backspin on the ball, making it rise into the air. the curved barrel makes the ball go down slightly, so that the rise caused by the backspin is cancelled. A golf ball with backspin on it will travel farther than a golf ball with no spin. The Flatline works the same way. My friend, who has a 98C with a 12" J&J ceramic barrel, has shot next to me at the practice range at our local field. There are various targets set up with their distance from the platform next to them. I can consistently hit a target at 200 ft. my friend can only hit about 150ish, and he has to lob his shot. The Flatline is definitely worth the money, IMO. go for it. |
