My R/t is really starting to bug me. As some of you might know from reading my other post, its not quite doin the trick lately. And i'm reading all these posts about how you pratically h a v e to do trigger mods to even get it to shoot well. I'm thinking about just switching over to an e-grip. What do you guys think? I'd especially like some feedback from people that have used both. Is the e-grip easier to use than R/t? Oh, and a question. When the e-grip runs out of battery, does it still shoot in semi? or does it not shoot at all until you replace the battery? |

The E-Grip is definitely easier to use than the RT, but check if your local fields allow full auto. When the battery is dead, the E-Grip doesn't work at all. It is pretty easy to swab battery, though, or just pop on the stock grip. |

The mech RT is alot better and easier to maintain then the E-grip in which you do have to replace the battery when it dies or when the board is fried. |

You dont need trigger mods for it to work good. Don't trust everything you hear from some person you dont even know across the internet.

if its not working for you then just get an egrip. i think there better anyway. u have 4 different firing modes and its a lot lighter trigger pull than the r/t. and the battery lasts for a long time in it and its the easiest thing in the world to install. theres no tricks to it at all. pop out the trigger frame and stick in a battery.

You Wont See Me, I'm not just listening to everyone, I am personally having troubles with mine and have tried to fix it but it shouldnt be so hassling. I think i'd rather have a fast RoF that stays consistent. Can you walk an e-grip? |

Yes, you can walk an E-Grip, but with the GTA and DOP double triggers
its not as easy as using the JCS Duel Trigger. The JCS Duel Trigger is very touchy and can take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour to adjust properly. Just like the R/T, to get the MOST out of the E-Grip, you mod it, but it will work fine out of the box. I think your R/T will work better once you take off the stabilizer. Also I want to remind you that I never stated that you NEED to do mods to the R/T inorder for it to work, you do mods to the R/T inorder to make it work BETTER. |

Why would you even think the stabilizer would effect the R/T. The R/T uses excess blowback gas from inside the power tube... if you can still cock your gun back with the regulated pressure the R/T will work fine, heres a test for you. Remove the R/T hose and plug it with the stopper that came with it, regulate to whatever pressure you like and chrono your gun. Now without changing anything attach the R/T, if your FPS drops (it shouldn't, +/- 3fps I assume is normal) you may have a leak. I wouldn't get the E-grip for the tippmann, that's like buying suicide doors for a honda civic. Why don't you just save your money and get a lexus instead... I love my R/T personally. |

No. Unless you mean trigger guard, yes. The trigger frame is the entire grip and body of the trigger. It does sound like your tank isn't outputting correctly. Some proshops have the ability to do valve work on the tank, or you could stretch your drive spring/ polish your internals real nice. You could also buy a Maddmann spring kit and use the red drive spring. I'd try polishing the internal chamber, if you want to keep your R/T.
Note: When installing an e-grip with an R/T, it's a bit harder. You have to close the R/T line (adjuster screw all the way in) and remove internal tubing at the trigger area. You then need to cut the E-grip to fit around the R/T screw. Luckily, Tippmann has a grooved area telling you where to cut. |

All double triggers that I know of for the A-5 come with a trigger guard,
not with a trigger frame. Also, you don't need to cut anything out of the grip inorder for it to fit, you simply remove all the parts for the R/T from the marker body. You should have a single output banjo fitting to replace the T fitting used for both the cyclone and the R/T. |
