Titanium Hammers

Does anyone here have any experience with the Dark Horizon Titanium Model 98 Hammers? I've read a few reviews on PBReview, but there are not enough for me to really decide on how effective it really is.

Anyone else?

Overpriced junk. You could accomplish the exact same thing by drilling a couple holes in your stock hammer.

Definatly not worth the money.

Save your money, unless you like screwing with lighter valve springs, valve porting, and other crap. Believe me it's a gimmick.

You are putting a low pressure bolt into a high pressure gun, you'll have a hell of a lot cocking problems and you'll be going through sears like no tomarrow.

If you drill holes in the stock bolt the bolt will never be flush with the reciever halves again. drilling through an object will push some of the metal out and create a rough edge. its the same reason why you dont do your own porting job on barrels.

I actually bought one of the afore mentioned (lite) titanium bolts, and I'm actually rather impessed with it's performance.  No need for any sort of different springs, or any extra 'wear and tear' on the internals.  It has alot less kick, and uses less Co2 to re-cock the bolt (no idea whether from it's smooth finish or from it's weight), giving me more shots per tank...and no cocking problems what-so-ever.   It was a pretty penny, especially since I'm a Canadian customer, but it's a really nice addition to the marker...
