ARG not another one of these, lol, same thing, no difference, ive heard lots of comparisons, the only thing i can say is that the A5 flatline is newer, so theres bound to be some things better about it.

Why compare, theyre both the same type of barrel and the only difference between the two is the length and the installation. |

well the flatline is teh best barrel for each gun distance wise so u cant get any better for 98 or a5 so it doesnt matter

thanks. my buddy was sayin that the 98 flat didnt put much distance on it compared to the stock barrel.

A5 Flatline is better...i'm not gonna explain it all go to www.pbreview.com and type in Tippmann A5 with Flatline and then Tippmann 98 Custom with Flatline.

Imma say it again....the only difference between the 2 Flatlines is the length and the installation process, the performance on bot barrels are the same....and if you dont think so, take an A5 Flatline, take it apart and compare the length to the 98c Flatline, the A5 Flatline is 1 1/2" shorter the 98c Flatline and it doesnt matter if the A5 Flatline is newer than the 98c Flatline.

The only difference between the barrels is the 98 flatline has the flash suppressor on it. At least thats what I'd call it if it was on a real gun. A friend of mine, who happen to own the local paintball store, has a couple of 98 flatlines that he removed this piece from and they look identical to the A5 barrels.
