Ok, so one guy on your team has a roll of paper towls that he carries arround. He is your medic. When someone gets shot they lay their until the medic can get to them, wash off the paint, and then your healed and on your way again.

OR

Have a designated hospitol are, when you get hit, you have to get back to this hospital and sit down for a set amount of time. Like 5 or 10 minutes. Then your off. You could even have different time limits depending on where someone got hit.
You can go far with a smile. You can go a lot farther with a smile and a gun.

They do that at Skirmish paintball during the big games.  Many other places implement the same thing for woodsball...

Well I feel stupid... Thanks for telling me. But then, how the hey would I know? I've only ever played in my own backyard (20 acers woods surrounded by houseing developements.)

We do that except you have to carry the shot person back to the entrance to bring them back.

i dont think i could carry someone across a rought terrain with alot of gear and getting shot at

its a good idea and i might try it but it would also substantually lengthin games. it could also get annoying after you shott the same guy 5 times.

The medic idea has been tried at EMR and War in the Woods. Its just like in real combat everyone stays dead because everyone guns for the medic.The medic has to be marked some how so that there isn't cheating and it might as well be a three foot bullseye because he has the life expectancy of about three seconds and after the first hundred hits nobody wants to be the medic anymore.
