hey guys

just got a tippmann a5 for christmas.  i tried firing it an noticed that the shots where going all over the place and exploding out of the barrel.

the paint im using is some cheap .68 brand.  when i tried to manually push through the paintball though the barrel, there was a great deal of resistance.  the ball was not a perfect circle and i could he tiny spaces on either side, while the top and bottom where really pressing against the barrel.

first of all, is the paint my problem?

second, is .68 the size i want?

and no i refuse to by super high quality paint.

it is probibly the paint. or it could be the barrel. is the barrel
stock, cuz if it is its not the barrel. if its not stock, then i could be
the paint, or the barrel. the paint is a good size at .68. Eather
the bore size on the barrel(if not stock) is too small, or the paint
is messed up.

With a good gun you need good paint.... Draskus paintball such as dusk are good balls and they are only $13-$15 a bag.

alright buddy, The paint is the prob, so next time instead of buying the cheapest goodwill paint out there,go with something a little better. Perhaps some dioblo, or draxxus paint. You can find them at GI joes and almost any type of sporting goods store, or like k-mart and such. Also the A-5 stock barrel is the biggest load of crap in the world, so before you do anything to that gun, get a new barrel. Sorry man but your going to need to spend more then $5 dollers for some paint, esspecialy with that gun.(its really picky on what kind of paint you have, especialy at high R.O.F.

Get a flatline, it will give you 100ft of ball trajectory, really good for woodsball!!! I have used them before in woods play. A strait barrel will give you a more acurate shot and the flatline will give you a longer shot.
