Not only will it give you a few extra shots, it'll keep the velocity consistent which helps tighten your spread.

Spread- how far apart your shots fly when aiming at the same point. This is the only real "accuracy" you will get from a paintball gun.

I love how people will pull numbers out of no where just to make themselves seem smart...

Anyways, it depends on what the tempature is outside and what pressure you are running.

I like how people pull out numbers without knowing things like... what size C02 tank.

Your shot capacity will increase, but there are other benefits... LordJovian brought up one important one with Accuracy.

Another benefit is that the Stabilizer acts as an Expansion Chamber.   The C02 in your tank is a liquid.   As the C02 comes out of the tank it turns into a gas.   It takes a slight amount of time for this transformation to happen.   When you are ripping a bunch of shots off, you will probably notice that your marker get VERY cold.   If you continue, the marker will build up ice inside and freeze the mechanics.   Usually after you wait and it warms up, you can continue, but this is BAD for your marker.   The Stabilizer give the liquid more time to expand into a gaseous form and will allow rapid fire for a longer period.

The last benefit is that the Stabilizer is actually a Regulator.   You will need this to operate N2/HPA (Nitrogen/High Pressure Air).   So when you are ready to take the step to a Nitro Tank, you already have a key part of the set up.

All in all, it would be a great addition to your marker.

i have a 16oz cromoly but if i have the money i think i will get the palmer stab. and if not ill get a aci 4 stage, ive seen reviews that say the aci keeps the velocity at around -5/+5fps or -8/+8fps

even if you are operating on co2, the palmer stabalizer will still regulate gas flow.  u dont need nitro or hpa to utilize this feature.  however switching to nitro or hpa will make your shots more consistent and will allow your marker to operate more efficiently.

peace out.

its a reg, it works with CO2 also ( its the best reg for CO2 for that matter)

u get a few more shots, a lilttle bit more consistancy like 10/-10, but thats a lil better than normal with Co2

hpa will always be betta

I want to get an inline palmer for my 98c. I saw a picture and the 98c had a drop forward and i don't want to spend the money on a drop forward. Do i need a drop forward and do I have to use macroline or can i still use a steel braided cord?

no you dont need a drop forward so all you have to do is turn that palmer around and hook it up with your bottle adaptor

To clear some things up here, you don't need a secondary reg to run a compressed air tank.  It is needed to run the LP kit though (to bring the input pressure down).  I think that's what Rico meant anyway..

Either way the palmer is the best regulator for CO2 and will work great with compressed air also.  If you run an inline reg, it will plug into the side of your ASA and the air hose will leave the bottom of the reg and then run up into your gun.  Hope that helped.
