To get an E-Bolt for the 98 Custom plus the cost of the gun itself, it
would cost roughly 330. To get an A5 plus the E-Grip it would cost
roughly 360 (not positive about the prices). Which really is not a big
difference. So its really mostly personal preference, I would choose my
98 over an A5 just because I like the feel of it, but then again some
people like the Cyclone feed on the A5. So iI say shoot both and see
which one you like best.

one more thing, if you were to get the 98c you would also need to get a hopper to keep up with it, which is one of the advantages of the A-5. If ztbisme's prices are right, the a-5 with egrip would end up costing you less

Well now the A-5 is the only choice because tippmann stopped making the E-bolt which means you can't make your 98 custom electric.

Srry my price was way off on the E-Bolt, but I guess that doesn't really matter. When did they stop making them?

yeah but i know my local shop still has 3 of them in stock and it wont be long b4 ppl start sellin their ebolts off of their 98s to make some cash plus i bet u anything that other companies will start making electronic conversion kits for a 98 custom. i would go with the 98 cuz i like the feel of it better. i have owned a 98 and an a5 and i like the 98 better. if u do decide to get the 98 then u might want to hurry up while there are still ebolts out on the market cuz i bet that theyll be hard to come by for a while. but if u want speed then a 98c is the way to go. the a5 is faster but if u put a vertical feed on there and an ebolt then it would be faster than an a5. also the cyclone has lots of problems being self fed and all. when u start gettin low on air but still have enough to shoot the cyclone will quit feeding. |

98c with e bolt - around 330 a-5 with e grip - around 300 id get the 98c if i were doin speedball cause the cyclone is bulky but if u have a 98c ud need an electric hopper which makes more $$ |
