Here's an idea I came up with for paintball in the winter:
Use a double-trigger guard with a single trigger. That way you can wear gloves and still fit your finger in the trigger guard. |

Not a bad idea. I actaully wear some cold weather shooting gloves I bought from an army and navy store, they work great.

Nitrogen would be better for the winter than CO2. And there's paintballs made for winter, though I'm not sure how well those work Or you could just keep the paintballs someplace warm, and then take them from there before you start a match. If it's not too long of a match I would think they'd be alright |

paintballs do not freeze in winter weather. and c02 is fine also. nitro is better that c02 but the latter isnt terribly affected by weather conditions. |

can suggest another thing, if no one tried, get bmx gear, knee pads and shin guards, and also some shorts with oversized side pockets, plus you will need small ball tubes. for example i wear something like underpants which are exactly my leg length, than put some warm socks, then i wear thin camo color padjama pants than over it i put shorts, after you put your knee pads on and shin guards, works two ways, it protects and warm as hell, i crawl in mud and snow, it works great, pading saves up my knees and shins and keeps me warm, what about shorts with over sized pockets, well use those for your tubing, you can at list fit two tubes of smaller sizes in your pockets on each side, that way it will safe you time to get them out of your back and plus it is easier to see what you do with them when you put them back in. i ve rolled on the ground like that from side to side and crawled, works great balls stay safe, even when i run. plus i would menstion one thing try to attach some kind of leices to your shorts so they are tightly attached to your legs other wise it will be kind of hard to get used to them swining forward and backwards when you run. |

I'm with removing the guard, but your way works too. And paintball can freeze.

I have fingerless gloves, well the only fingerless parts are my index and middle for my left and right hand (my shooting fingers) works out real good. Cause those fingers don't get hit anyways. |
