I have basically come to the conclusion that I will be getting a Tippman A5. I was wondering how easy it is to Mod this marker. Some possible setups that I would like to explore are Highly modded sights, Laser? barrels...can you change them out like you change your underwear? even in the field? I would lik eto tote a small tactical barrell and also tote a sniper type barrel. Is this easily done? stocks...Id like to have a fold out stock so i can go from close range to long-shot hero. feeds.. what is the best hopper/feed system for this maker that is "PRACTICAL" power ...I want fast balls.. and im no homo what is the best/fastest power for the A5 your professional input appreciated!!! Its easy to modify tippmanns. Sights, all you have to do is get a 3/8" dovetail mounting sight or for good sights you will need a 3/8" to 5/8" rail because most sights use 5/8". barrels all you have to do is unscerew it and screw the new one, its not hard. stocks, the M-4 stock is collapsable or you can get a regualar stock and to change it you pull out 2 pins, easy! The A-5 comes with a cyclone feed so you have to sick with that unless you are skilled enough to make some serious modifications, judgine by this post you dont have the skills to do that. Power depends on the barrel and the velocity of the marker. AND THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IN ANY FORUM >>>>>> READ THE STICKIES<<<<<< AND CONSULT GOOGLE BEFORE ASKING QUESTIONS

Well dude, first the A-5 has a feed system and comes with a hopper. So, rule that out. Second, best barrel for A-5 is a lapco bigshot 12". Goggles...get a thermal pair. Other mods come later. Marker, mask, and barrel first. |

Hey Ghostguy, What gives you the Idea I dont have skills to Mod? Because I ask a few questiions? I have not modded a paintball marker yet. But to give you some background, I have modded a ton of **edited** and have access to some of the most skilled machinist in the country. Nothing in impossible in my world. I have 14 + years in Aerospace and have modded some of our nations most feared frontline hardware. SO theres a blackeye for you. I asked the question because I want input from people in the field ...Just like I do in real life. I ask the soldiers, they know more than anyone about the equipment they are using...its pro's and cons. What the I would still like input on this A5 please read the top post and respond line for line...that would be great. Thanks |

I guessed that you dont have the skills to mod the marker because you had to ask about the feed system, not how it works, but what kind to get eventhough the A-5 comes stock with the cyclone system. Modifing the feed system will take alot of research and if you have come to the conclusion that you are getting an A-5, Im assuming you have based that decision on some sort of research. The stickies are the post in the top of the threads that have the thumbtacks in them If this is to become a flamewar, which it appears to have the potential to, lets keep it to PM's so we dont get banned. |
