Im lookin for a speedball gun since I turned my 98 into a milsim. I was lookin at the Mongoose 2 reincarnation but what else would be good for under 300 dollars.

If your looking for somethin cheap that you can upgrade, some of the newer piranhas are good. They arent top of the line but with a new trigger frame you can hold your own in most speedball games.

Only one gun: A-5 this is for several reasons: 1: cyclone feed does not require batteries and shoots plenty fast. 2: removeable barrel threads allow you to use a wide variety of barrels to siut your needs and don't add extra length and do not alter your gun's shooting performance(new adapters can be bought from almost any well known pb company) 3: internals are easily accessed and it is not necessary to take the whole gun apart to change one measily spring plus internals are completely sealed off(M98c bolt was wide open to dirt and paint and various other crap flying in there. 4: anyting you can do to a model 98 custom, you can do to an A-5, and in most cases it is easier to install. side note:in tournaments, full-auto is not legal, so e-bolt/e-grip is not necessary(I think) |

Buy a used cocker. If you look around PBNation, you might even be able to pick one with an E-Blade up for $300.

get a used automag. they will never give u any problems. and with the right upgrades, u can shoot faster then most cockers. look on ebay for the mag. i got mine there. a 68 classic, intelliefame, level 10 bolt, and an all american and jj barrel plus a nitro tank for 300 $. its one great gun

The likelyhood of getting one with an E-blade is very low...maybe for $500, not 3. However, getting a used 'cocker off of PBNation, or eBay, would be a really good idea. They're pretty fast (fast enough for me, anyway), very accurate, and easy to maintain (the Autococker Golden Rule is: If it ain't broke, DON'T TOUCH IT!). You can deffiantely get a good 'cocker for around $200-$250 on the nation, probably a 2003 with new pneumatics even. |

I am also partial to the A-5. I own one but i think a better speedball gun would be a automag .68 classic. Its a great gun for both kinds of play. Very compact and very simple. With a short barrel on that it wouldbe perfect for what you are looking for.
