On paper it's a good idea. But this has been tried before (multiple ways) and its an endless war we have fought for the use / promotion of the search button. It won't change the garbage that is posted here daily.

Why did you even try newbies never read stickeys and wont use the search icon because they think they are special and need a special thread to get help even though the topic has already been covered

Listen, we were ALL new at one point, and we ALL had questions. We as older members of the forum are here to ANSWER the questions imposed on us by the new kids. If every time one of them asks a question we scream "USE THE SEARCH!" that's not incredibly helpful. I for one had all of my questions answered by members who realized that one of their 'duties' if you will, as a long standing member was to assist new players.

Its alot like calling up tech support and talking to a machine as opposed to getting a technician who knows what they're talking about.
