i saw in the upgrades and customizing section this guy talkin about reversing his drop forward and making it a "drop backward".that gave me the idea to just turn the tank adapter around to hold the tank under the gun.all you would need is 2 90 degree gas fittings,a longer hose and some loctite.will this work?if not, what would i need to make it work?

I dont see why it wouldnt work. you'd have to monkey around with the fittings and the hose, and make sure that the tank doesnt interfear with any front grips of x-chambers you might have.

i just saw this exact setup on www.palmer-pursuit.com and it had the inline stabilizer so it was next to the tank instead of on the grip. |

One of the refs at the field has a huge drop on backwards, he shoulders his drop and it puts the tank under the gun, beleive it or not its very comfortable.

ok with the palmers stabilizer is it the female version that connnects to the tank screw in thing(is that the ASA or is the ASA something else?)and then you screw your tank into the stabilizer is that how it works |

Its nothin new to have the HPA/co2 tank positioned the opposite way, Ive seen alot of those here in California...even the owner of the pbshop I use to go to when it was open fer business (now permanently closed due to the lack of business after 15 years) has the same setup on his A5 and hes had that setup since the A5 1st came out. |

Inline screws into the 98 Custom ASA/ 1/8npt fitting. Female stabilizer is not worth the cost (for the ring mount and everything is would be more than1$100 where you could just get the Inline by itself for only $65). All Stabilizers perform the same despite cost differences.
In other words, if you got to get a Stabilizer for cheap, keep the 98 Custom ASA and get an Inline Stabilizer and put it in front of the ASA for only $65. |

I had a marker I ran that way for a while. I picked up an ASA with an opening in each side, carved a spacer out of rubber to put between it and the marker for a good fit, then screwed it back on with the stock screws. I used macroline with a 90 degree fitting on the ASA and a straight one going into the valve and I plugged the extra opening in the ASA. (I took the line off the right side of the ASA since I'm right handed.) I recommend macroline cause it's easier to push out of the way than braided steel (which I tried first) when you mount the tank. In my case I used 9, 12, and 14 oz tanks w/o any problems.

i've already checked and the gun's ASA angles down enough that i can fit my 20 oz tank without any problems, but i cant use an x-chamber or anything that will make the forward grip longer.so Erik what your saying is that the inline screws into the ASA?and then the tank screws into that?or something else. o and i live in Shelby township near the Lone Wolf shop in Utica btw this is my brothers username im Curlyman666 Edited by fatmanphil69 |

There is no reason why it wouldnt work. with a longer line tephlon tape sealant it would work fine. the feel is different though. Been there done that. |

The balance isn't bad with a small tank. If you like stocks, the extra weight from one would counter the weight of a larger tank.

actually i like the tank bein forward more i have a 20 oz tank and the balance is fine but it is a lil too big of a tank so it gets in the way of the line a lil bit but it doesnt affect the gun at all
