RT PRO ULE COUSTOM AUTOMAG is the best Mechanical marker
undoutedly. Fast, small, light, AMAZING coustomer support, super
druable reliable, NO TIMEING very simple to maintain.
Emags are kewl too as they are capable of running mechanical or electronic witch ever you choose. AUTOMAGS RULE the mid to high end market period for all round markers while Tippmanns Rule the Low end to Mid Market. |

Mags are deffinately more expensive than 'cockers. However, they really are slightly better, because they're a bit smaller, lighter, and faster. However, as I said before, it comes at a pretty steep price. To build something on par with my current 'cocker I'd probably spend upwards of $500.

Interesting. I'm looking at getting a mech marker you didn't even mention the one I was looking at. I know you are all BPS whores, and think that is the ONLY thing of importance to consder when getting a marker. But how much slower are Mech markers compared to electros? And seriously is there a huge difference (Beyond bragging rights) between 12-18 bps? Can any of you honestly hit 15 bps (*And by "honestly" i mean videoing yourself shooting and putting it under computer sound analasys?)

With my cocker when it was mech i could hit around like 6-8 bps, now with the Eblade I can hit around 15-17.

*Laughs* Most people can hit 15 BPS on their electros. I can't believe that you don't get that *laughs some more*. Now, above 20-22, that's harder to believe (most people can hit 18-19 BPS). The most you're going to get out of any mechanical gun that's not heavily customized (ie: Revenge V3 Merlin, only one ever made, went for $450 for just the gun, hits 13 BPS) is around 9-10. That's with a 'mag with "Ultralight" engineered trigger(known as ULT). The difference between the two is that when you're shooting a stream of paint with your mag at 10 BPS, there's 10 feet between balls, and only 5 feet when you're shooting 20 BPS on your E-blade. What mechanical marker were you looking at, by the way? |

A gun is not a weapon... It's a tool. Like a butcher knife, or a harpoon, or...uh, a...an alligator. |

I agree. They are the closest thing you can get to electro with a mechanical gun. They can be just as fast as an electro gun, just as light. Mags are faster lighter, easier to maintain (as you said already) and are more reliable then cockers. |

Im with Pariel (for once and probably the only time I will ever agree with him). With my Alias Timmy I have the trigger and debounce set so perfectly that I have easily hit the max 22bps that my HALO B can feed. If I had a faster loader I would probably reach the cap of 25bps with little trouble. How much slower are mechanical guns to electro guns well to put it in easy terms theres a huge difference. Most electro guns can shoot up to 22bps' or higer most machanical guns can barley get up to 10 bps. Again if you ever played in a tourney you would know that 12 bps and 22+ bps can make a big differnce especially for back people players shooting lanes for front teamates. The more paint they can shoot out the better chance they have of shooting someone out of the break and the better coverage they can give to thier front players.

So if you hate batteries, can we presume you are looking at a QLoader? If so, I would definitely recommend a Mag, since you can easily get a nifty sidefeed body for superlow profile. Sidefeed on a cocker is a bit harder.
