stabalizers are the same as regs and if ur runnin co2 u should get a x-chamber cuz it makes ur marker run more consistently by allowing more time for the co2 to turn into gas

The Stabilizer is made by Palmers Pursuit. It's a type of regulator, most famous because it kicks ass with co2, and works just as good for nitro. If you have the money, definantly get one over an x-chamber, they work much better.

Ya its a regulator that obviously cleans co2 and works on nitro fine, its prob. one of the best things i ever bought.

And if you want to get one, go to countrypaintball.com and they have a kit there for an a5 or 98c.

The stabilizer is a regulator made by Palmer. It is better then an expansion chamber.
An expansion chamber allows more time for the CO2 to expand from a liquid to a gas during high rates for fire.
The stabilizer does what an expansion chamber does but it also makes your shot to shot consistansy better.

An expansion chamber is a simple tube that screws into your marker with baffles in it.   The purpose of an expansion chamber is to provide a chamber with a lot of surface area to allow the liquid CO2 to heat up and expand into gas. The benefit of having an expansion chamber is that in preventing occasional liquid CO2 from entering the gun, you'll avoid velocity spikes, meaning that it will somewhat improve your velocity consistancy, and it will also help you get more shots per tank.

A regulator is a device that uses spring-pressure valves to actually limit the volume of CO2 that actually enters the gun at any point in time. In precisily metering the quantity of gas entering the gun, you're gun will shoot a much more consistant velocity, and will improve your shots per tank.

Both will improve your consistancy and efficiency. The difference is that a regulator will do the job better. The downfall is that is will cost more. A Palmer Stablilzer is a particular brand of regulator, which is famous for operating well on CO2. A Palmer runs about $100. An expansion chamber can cost $20 or so. A Tippmann will shoot fine without either, so it's not necessary to have one. But a regulator is better, if you want to shell out the money. Also consider that a regulator can also work on HPA, if you choose to upgrade. An expansion chamber won't work for compressed air.

it is a regulator. basically what it does is take the pressure coming from your tank and regulates it to your desired pressure....

HPA is much better than CO2, and if you got this then you should get a regulator
