Dude almost every aftermarket barrel company makes barrels for the 98.I like CUSTOM PRODUCTS barrels myself ,but that's just my opinon.

I dont understand the question.
By tippmann barrels do you mean barrels made by tippmann or designed for tippmann? If you mean the former, then no, after market barrels are made by other companies for Tippmann guns. If you mean the latter, only barrel designed for you 98c will fit it. |

Any barrel with 98 threads will work, go to a website like bradyspaintball.com go to barrels and look under any of the manufacturers, I reccomend armson.

You have to buy sertain barrels for the 98c. Just because the barrel is made by tippmann doesn't mean it will fit the 98c. You have to buy barrels made for the 98 custom. BTW welcome to the forum!

The only barrels that work on a 98c are barrels with a 98c thread.

Thanks, but what i mean is will other brands of gun maker's barrels fit for example pmi,parahna,spyder ecs.Or how can u tell especially if you're ordering online and it doesn't say. Do most barrels have the same thread that will fit my 98 and if so wich ones will?

I would not get barrels from any of those companies u just listed. Look up lapco they make good barrels, which are all great. For more money get a boomstick, or a freakbarrel kit. If you have a question on if the barrel u want fits try emailing the websight you're looking at for info.
