I was thinking about getting a palmer stabilizer for my 98C. But when I told the guys at my local pro shop that I was going to use co2 with the reg they almost crapped a brick. They said that the reg would not let the liquid expand into gas as much as it would just control the pressure going into the marker. They suggested that I save the money and just get a x-chamber, that it would do a better job of letting the liquid expand. Is this correct?

Shoot the guys at your shop for being mentally incapable of running a paintball store./
The Palmers stabalizer is better than any expansion chamber for keeping liquid outta your marker. |

They did not say that it didn't keep liquid out of your marker they said that it just regulates the pressure going to your marker.

Palmers do better then x chamber lmao. Go for the palmer, expansion chambers might do something... but all in all its only good for a grip lol. The change is almost un-noticable, at least with my x core. The palmer reg wont only allow most gas to expand but it will regulate the gas and make it hella constant !!! Palmer all the way.... even my crap as PMI reg for 30$ runs ALOT ALOT ALOT better then my x core will ever run.
Edit: nothing else it will let the gas expand then regulate it... Palmers are one of the best one the market... and the best reg for Co2 out there right now. U spend the 80$ on it and you wont reget a cent. Jackal Edited by Jackal14 |

Palmers act as both an X-chamber and a regulator. Do a search on Palmers here and you'll see just how many people will back up this opinion that when it comes to CO2, a Palmer reg is the way to go.
