just got my first remote coil (32 degree) on my second paintball gun (iow, i'm a noob). i hooked it up as directed and noticed that the male/female portion of the remote coil on the lower receiver is leaking air ever so slightly. actually, pretty loudly. i'm curious if this is normal, i can't imagine it is, only that maybe its "regulating" or something. it doesn't stop, either. is there a way to tighten up the male/female part of the hose? perhaps my hose is jacked. dunno what the deal is... please reply. thx.

you can pull it apart and see if its teflon taped. Or you could just
return it. Try putting some soapy water on it to find where the leak is
exactly.

yes, find where the leak is, unscrew the location, and reapply loctite or teflong tape on it.

well, i appreciate your responses, however, i don't believe the leak is coming from the threaded contacts on the actual lower receiver. i believe the leak is coming from the male/female part. does that sound like it changes anything? |

If you mean in the ASA then it makes a big difference. Check the o-rings on the adapter, a broken or damaged one (or missing one) could do it. EDIT : If you mean by the tank, check the tank o-rings. Edited by Darur |

He means the quick disconnect. There have been lots of problems lately with 32 degrees remotes. I'd return it, and buy one that doesn't have the number 32 on it.

You dont have to really return you 32* remote line if you are experiencing a leak from the female section of the quick disconnect...jus replace the female section of the quick disconnect which costs only $6.00 to get a new one http://www.actionvillage.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/S tore/en/-/USD/DisplayProductInformation-Start;sid=k0-YEbsqmO yYIvk5OwxYubGM23wckVaRZXI=?ProductID=rsasFAY7XpEAAAD44qzkrFs 5 and may I recommend this too http://www.actionvillage.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/S tore/en/-/USD/DisplayProductInformation-Start;sid=k0-YEbsqmO yYIvk5OwxYubGM23wckVaRZXI=?ProductID=Ho6sFAY73M4AAAD73Qv_aBg p its a great add on to the remote line and plus wit it you can safely place your marker down inbetween games when disconnected. thanks so much for the response... everyone, really. what exactly does this slide check valve do? if i understand you correctly, it allows the remote line to be pressurized while allowing me to disconnect the marker from the line (separate the female for male connectors)? |

Well, a couple of Reasons.. the part that came w/ the remote that you connect to your gun make sure it's tight. and the coil is locked into that piece. I didn't have it locked in once and I had a very very bad leak... went through half a tank of C02 and this was in my house. My whole line frooze and my tank was froozen for about 15 minutes. The other end of the coil make sure it's not to lose or to tight on the CO2 tank. That's probably the problem.
