Velocity Setting

   My friend and I just bought a Tippmann A5 each.  I can unscrew the
velocity adjustment screw 10 times and my gun will fire a paintball
without any problem.  When my friend unscrews his velocity
adustment screw 6 times or more, his paintballs will burst.  I
don't have a chronograph so I don't know how many feet per second we
are shooting.  I am worried that my gun may not be pushing enough
pressure.  Any ideas???

	the velocity adjustment varies from gun to gun. its all dependent on dwell, lubrication, strenght, and conditions of the valve. it seems his velocity is too high causing breaks. or if hes using differant balls they could be breaking. when your balls start too swerve noticably, than your velocity is probaly too high.

	Well my friend had that problem but it was becasue he didn't screw his barrel in all the way, but here are the problems that may happen or ? i have about it: Are you guys using the same paintballs Same barrels Do you both have a stock A-5 ?? and listen to triggerhappy he is right 99% of the time Edited by VTpaintballer

	We are both using the same balls. We both have stock A-5 guns with the flatline barell. He has purchased the E-Grip; however, with his gun the balls burst with the E-Grip and the stock trigger. I do agree that his velocity is too high when the balls in his gun begin to burst. But if when I raise my velocity setting all the way and I don't have any balls breaking (let me remind you - I don't want any balls to break), does that mean there might be some kind of problem?

	Like they said, the same settings on two guns can be complety different. I'd try to get a Chronograph and find out what your both shooting.

	Guys, thanks for your help. I will check each gun with the Chronograph. I'll post the results at a later date...
