hey i started playng paintball over the summer a bougth a real peice of junk gun and now im looking into buying a tippmann. i was gonna just get a 98c but while i was searching the forums i saw the procustom. I dont want the electric version i want the regular mechanical. What do you guys think should i just go out and buy a 98c or should i wait for the procustom (well from what i gather the procustom is a real thing and isnt  just a scam like some people say but seeing as i am just a newb how should i know)

Sadly, get the Pro-Custom because it does come with a drop forward and double trigger already installed so you don't have to do it yourself.

(I hate giving this advice...)

Get the Pro-Custom.  If you get the Stock edition it's only $159...

It's going to accept all current and future M98/98c upgrade options...  Plus it will be easier for you to upgrade in the future if you deside to get the E-grip.

BTW, there IS NO E-BOLT for the Pro-Custom.  It's a sear tripper just like the A-5 E-grip. The E-Bolt is being discontinued...

WRONG!!! The e-bolt is not on the Pro Custom. It requires a ram in the back to push the bolt forward with air instead of a spring. Since the Pro Custom obviously has no ram and it uses the original bolt, it must be a sear tripping system, which is no where near as fast or efficient.

BTW:

  • E-Mag = Sear Tripper.
  • A-5 E-grip = Sear Tripper.
  • All spyder and spyder clone electros = Sear Trippers.

It's not all that bad a thing.
