Nice, I want to do that but I don't have a dremel or steelwool and my parents would not believe what I was doing.

i done all 5 of my tippmanns. i use 220 sandpaper for for the first bit, then go to 600. once that is done, i oil it, clean it, and use the oil to get all the bits out. i do that 3 times. then i buff it with a clean rag. then i oil again and put it back together. you'll get a super smooth, clean finish this way.

I usually start with a 200 grit automotive sandpaper (depending on the initial surface), move to 400, 600, 1000, 2000, and then I go over it once or twice with an aluminium polish.

I used mothers aluminium and mag polish.  I also used this green stuff that came with my moms dremel kit.  Its also for polishing metal. I used alot off the polishing bits.  I had to run to home depot and get some more to finish.

Dis you see any sort of difference after the polish?  I was just wondering exactly how much I am supposed to sand off.
