I was bored this weekend and wanted to do this before the Rain of Fire tournament this weekend. Let me know what you think. Also the images arnt that good, sorry. http://img134.exs.cx/img134/1277/picture1902lk.jpg http://img134.exs.cx/img134/122/picture1916vq.jpg I went ahead and sanded the impurities out of the power tube. Its pretty hard to tell though. http://img134.exs.cx/img134/370/picture1921es.jpg And this is how manny dremmel bits i went through. My mom made me replace all of them though. http://img134.exs.cx/img134/4613/picture1936xm.jpg let me know what you think. |

Nice, I want to do that but I don't have a dremel or steelwool and my parents would not believe what I was doing.

i done all 5 of my tippmanns. i use 220 sandpaper for for the first bit, then go to 600. once that is done, i oil it, clean it, and use the oil to get all the bits out. i do that 3 times. then i buff it with a clean rag. then i oil again and put it back together. you'll get a super smooth, clean finish this way.

I usually start with a 200 grit automotive sandpaper (depending on the initial surface), move to 400, 600, 1000, 2000, and then I go over it once or twice with an aluminium polish. stock bolt and powertube from my carbine. ![]() |

I used mothers aluminium and mag polish. I also used this green stuff that came with my moms dremel kit. Its also for polishing metal. I used alot off the polishing bits. I had to run to home depot and get some more to finish. |

Dis you see any sort of difference after the polish? I was just wondering exactly how much I am supposed to sand off.
