Help wiht my tank

Your best bet would be to take the tank to your local paintball shop and let them look at it. You maybe able to just slap another o-ring into your ASA and it work fine or worst case and from the looks of it its worse case you will have to buy a new tank reg which will cost 80-300 bucks depending on what you get.

But no matter what just take it to your local proshop and see what they say.. thats the best bet and safe way to go..

Edit- Also when you get the problem fixed might want to invest in a thread protecter cap

if the o-ring stays on there you shouldnt have a problem, if it doesnt stay on then you might end up losing alot of air on disconect, and ya, go pay the 2 bucks to get a thread protector

Dont even repair it, it wont be as strong as before...play it safe and replace it.

as long as your o-ring stays in you shouldnt have a problem, you could probly get someone to weld on a little lip on there, thats not really a safety thing because if it does leak , then well you lose your air and are out of luck, if it comes unscrewed, thats what a pin-valve is for, it would only be a real probly if it was coming off the tank, just be thankfull that the lip took the damage and not the end that goes into the tank...

man, i still remember my my heart falling into my stomach when i ding'd mine like that (it was still pretty new)...not a pretty sight. it's still alright though. as long as your oring stays in the groove, and you can screw it into your gun without it leaking, you're in good shape.

my tank didn't fall more than two feet, hitting my knee before the ground (i was crouched on the ground, trying to thread it into my gun). it landed on the top-end of the tank, bending the brass off in the same fashion as Mr. Smith's. it's not like i dropped it from waist level or it rolled off a staircase. if you dropped yours from a decent height, like waist level, you should go get it checked out; hydrotesting it wouldn't be a bad idea either.
