How good is a low and high presser system and what does?

There is no "High Pressure System". The Low Pressure System,
however, lowers the pressure of your gun (imagine that...). If
you want the pressure of your gun lower, get the Low Pressure
System. If you don't, then don't.

If you goto Air you need the LPK. If you use Co2 keep it stock and get an expansion chamber (X-Core 8 stage) or a Regulator (Palmer or Bob Long Torpedo) |

the LPK is if you want your gun to run at a lower pressure. It is not nescesary though so you can run HPA on ur gun with out it.

^^ Wrong pbdude!! If you slap on a HP Air Tank on the A-5 without the LPK the cyclone will not get enough air to operate correctly and it will turn into a paintball blender. If you ever owned an LPK you will notice the larger inlet tubes to the cyclone. The stock tubes will not allow enough air for the cyclone to work and will damage it. I know this from experience. I tried it and everything above happened. |

^Actually thats wrong. I shoot a 68/4500 tank on my A-5 with no
reg or anything. It works fine. You might have been
thinking of a low pressure output tank or something. Most tanks
have an output pressure that is about the same as a CO2 tank.

Low pressure-usually has an output of around 400-450psi. Works best
with low pressure guns such as: Matricies, Timmys, Shockers..etc. High
pressure-usually has an output up to 850psi. Will work with any gun.

U are wrong justice, Trogdor is absolutly correct however. I run my gun on an 68/4500 HPA Tank with no reg or anything, and it runs fine, and in fact, very well. Edited by sportdeamon89 |

Absolutely dead wrong. Provided you get a tank with an output of at least 800 psi, you should be just dandy to run air with no LPK. God! How can you be so freakin wrong!? |

I used a Crossfire 68 cu. in./3000 psi tank on my A5 for three years. The stock A5 worked fine with it. In Justice's defense however I did run into the following two issues when I modified the marker:
Edited Note: I should add that I own a very early production model A5 (serial no. 000372) and I installed one of the first A5 r/t's that came out. My understanding from our local shop owner is that Tippmann has done some modifications to both the marker and the r/t system since then. Not that it matters, I finally set mine up to run two CO2 tanks and am perfectly happy with the mechanical semi-auto performance. Edited by Mack |

Yeah I think I had an RT on my A-5 when I tried the HP Air. Sorry, I didnt realize the original posters question was bone stock. But once you upgrade your fire power ie RT or E-grip then you will have problems without the LPK when you run Air. |

Really? Wanna fight about it Justice? BEFORE my LPK, I ran 800 psi output HPA THROUGH AN EXPANSION CHAMBER with the E-grip. I did NOT experience Cyclone problems, nor the "tank not keeping up" with full-auto. The x-chamber had a small outlet hole, which slowed down the incoming air to the CVX. And it still shot around 300 bps. Your guns obviously had a few compound problems, (mayhaps a bind in the rear bolt or something) and you didn't actually solve it. You may have accidentally solved it by now, or you initiated some sort of workaround. I've taken my air supply through some extremes, and solved all the problems. Currently it's running on an LPK just barely after I modded my x-chamber into a volumizer, which impedes the flow of air a little too much. But it still works fine. *edit* There is a High Pressure System, it comes stock with all Tippmanns. Edited by LordJovian |
