it sounds like you might have the front bolt on backwards.. Just a guess, cause if it fires with the barrel off the movement of the front bolt would not be blocked, but with the barrel on it will hamper the front bolt from traveling back and forth..
Give that a try. Let me know if does anything for you. Jochen |

Its probaly your ball latch. its probaly backwards causing it to slow down the bolt enough to not properly enguage the valve plunger. Refer to your manual for its proper position.

it can't be the ball latch if it works without the barrel on the gun.
check if your gun is pressurized. if you push the bolt forward (using the knob) when the gun is uncocked with a tank screwed in, you shouldn't be able to move it because the cvx is pressurized. sometimes the gun will depressurize even if you screwed the tank in. you just need to screw the tank in all the way. you would be able to fire a few shots at first, then the gun will cease to function. hope that helps. |

The ball latch has nothing to do with the barrel being on. The detent is not built into the barrel like an Automag. Check the ball latch. Cock your gun, and stick your finger into the breach. You should be able to run your fanger though with little to no resistance if its in correctly. If not in right, you will feel it.

i know the ball latch isn't in the barrel, it's beneath the breach, inside the chamber. i'm saying that the ball latch shouldn't have anything to do with the problem if he is able to dry-fire the gun with or without the barrel. if the ball latch was oriented in the wrong direction, the marker wouldn't dry-fire at all; it would just decock. hell...just check it anyway.

Yeah, I know what you mean now. No hard feelings. But check anyway. And make sure your tank isnt just idling at the point that the pin is just engauged and can easily become disengauged like they said. |

i hate it when the tank does that...it happened to me once during a game. i fired three or four shots at the beginning, then i got a burp, with the paintball only going ten feet before bouncing off a tree. that's what i get for installing a new drop-forward and forgetting to lube the tank orings. lube your orings!
