So today we had a meeting for National Jamboree, I will be serving as a Patrol leader, meaning I will have 7 slave . . .er I mean scouts under my direction for the entire trip.

This position is also exactly what I need for next year when I plan to go out for HSSC (Hawaii State Student Council).

If you'd like three more slaves...er, I mean scouts, I have some pesky neighbor kids that I will sell you...uh, I mean I know some deserving children that I will sponsor...yeah that's it.  It won't cost much and you get to keep them afterwards.

To elaborate for shocker :

In Scouts Troops are divided into Patrols.  As a Patrol Leader I lead one of the three patrols.  The Senior Patrol Leader is in charge of us all.

That sucks, there are quite a few people on here involved in scouting, I am hoping to meet at least one of them this summer.

Being SPL is awsome but tough.  I missed summer camp (was on staff at the camp and the director who said I could go pulled a guilt trap on me and I couldnt join my troop), the first few meetings I would have run ( was at Philmont) and a few hikes.  Scoutmaster didnt think much of me in the end.  Enjoy your reign of power, and remember a good ASPL = long naps and no work.

Unfortunetly there are some crappy troops out there.

You shouldnt give up yet though, join again, change thinsg around.  That or find another troop.  There are some very awsome oppurtunities through scouting, just ask anyone that has been to one of the High Adventure Bases, Jamboree or NOAC.

is this about like cub scouts, eagle scouts etc. because i did cub scouts and quit after a week.

They told me i should go when i had my eagle board of review back in august.  for some reason the thought of meeting thousands of scouts never really appealed to me.  if i went it would be as OA staff  but im not going anyway so...

erg now youve got me angry. i reallllllly wanted to go too. erg well at least i get an extra week at sequassen. I hate it all the minions are going and not me it drive me mad erg!!
