I have a 68/4500 tank and ever time i get it filled the gauge reads
4500 but after a few hours i checked back and the gauge read around
3600 psi.
Is ther someone thing wrong with the tank or is this normal? |

It can be normal. If you fill a tank too quickly that will happen everytime. I would not be worried unless it bleeds all the way empty everytime.

This is called a "hot fill". At high pressures, air can very easily create friction because of the high pressure rapidy through a small area. And it can become warm which easily happens when filled. And if the air in your tank right after a fill is warm or hot, it is expanded due to heat. But when it cools down, the pressure drops because the air molecules contract. This can easily be avoided by slow, carefull fills. Next time you get a fill, ask them to slowly fill it because you do not want a hot fill. |

Hot fills keep damaging my fill nipple o-ring, so if I were you check to see if it's leaking at all.
