Hello,I'm a paintball newbie and I need some help. I
have a 98 custom and it's stock right now so I need a
new barrel. I'm thinking about gatting the Flatline so
would that be a good decision? Since my marker
would be seeing woodsball probabaly most often.
And a question about the flatline,is it good for closer
shots too? You know like tucking into a
bunker, peeking out and taking a few shots then
getting back in.And sorry if this is in the wrong
thread. Thanks ahead for the help for a newbie!

yea this is the right forum.  If you are going to play mostly woodsball then i wood deffinetly go with the flatline.  As long as it was installed right it will be good for close shooting too. hope this helped.

Its a great barrel but you could mess it up if you dont install it right. Im sure youll figure it out. Its easeyer then you think just tinker with it a little.

My setup :Tippy A-5 flatline barrel 12in lapco bigshot scope adjustable stock spring job response trigger hpa bottle dropforward and double trigger.

A well tuned flatline is a work of art. If you can afford a flatline, a Palmer's regulator would be its best friend- regulated air through a flatline, set to the right velocity will let you make some unbelievable shots..

Hey, guy's,
Another question. I was just reading about the
flatline and read it doesn't shoot cheaper paint very
well. But could it shoot Anarchy or Highheat
paintballs well?
Since that's what the local sports store has alot of
(and it's not Walmart). Thanks!

You need high quality smallbore paint for it. I wouldn't recommend the flatline at all really. There are far more accurate barrels out there..

Incorrect. Invest in a regulated air source and quality paint, and your flatline will perform just as well or better than anything else out there. You'll be able to make accurate shots at distances other barrels couldn't hope to match.

Welcome to the forums, Cleanshot444! Don't worry about the length of the Flatline being a hinderance, it's 14 inches, which can sometimes be viewed as the standard size for most other barrels. So don't worry about not being able to tuck into a bunker or anything, you'll be fine. And by the way, you're not a newbie in my book; you've been writing in a coherent and understandable manner and you've been doing your research. Everyone here will always be happy to help you.

Yea dont listen to people that say they are no good for sb either, even though you dont play it much, you prbly play it some.  Some guy on my team with a 98c w/flatty and me with my a-5(no flatty) were owning on the sb course, the rest of the team left to go gaurd the flag and do other stupid things.  But him and me owned the sb course, until they outnumbered us by like, literally, 20 to 2.  They took him out and some guy snuck around me while I was distracted by like 5 guys behind the snake 5 ft in front of me.

the flatline would be a good decisionthe berrel isn't very long so you don't have to worry about when swingin it to aim in different directions. i have a 14 inch barrel and i took out two of my friends up close with my gun. but then again it's not always what gun, or barrel you have, but the player behind the gun. i've taken out idiots with $1300 autocockers because they are just rich kids who think they are good cuz they have expensive guns.
